Update on School

I just wanted to give a quick update on how school is going for me since I get the question "Are you almost done?" quite often. I finished this semester last week...Hallelujah! I took Anatomy 201 and Microbiology and managed to pull out A's in both classes which of course I was very happy about. I turned in my nursing application on Friday May 9th to GCC and I will be starting my last pre-req on June 2nd which is Anatomy 202. This next class is just a four week class which I am very excited about...I just want to be done!! So in the mean time I am just waiting to hear from GCC as to when they accept my application. The waiting list appears to be 6mos to a year long however I have all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs done with the exception of Anatomy 202. I am hoping this improves my chances of getting in faster. Once I am in the program I will either do the 16 month accelerated program or the traditional 4 semester program. So basically I am just waiting now. When I hear something I will definitely let all of you know. Thanks so much for the prayers this semester..(I needed them) and for just being great friends and family who I can rely on when I need them!

Uncle Gary visits!!

Uncle Gary came to visit from Kentucky this past weekend. He has such an awesome wife who surprised him with an airplane ticket out to Arizona just to have some fun! We enjoyed the time with him even though it was short. Gary also went to Flagstaff for a couple of days and met up some long time friends who he had not seen for almost 3 years. Amy and J.W held a BBQ at their house Sat. evening which was so thoughtful. It made it easy for Gary to meet alot of people in one place since he had a limited time. Morgan decided that Uncle Gary is pretty neat and when we dropped him off at the airport to go back to Kentucky she wanted to know when she would see him again. All I could say was "Soon...I hope!"

Traevin is 3 years old and is tall as Madison who is 6!

I think Cabela's is Gary's new favorite place. We have been there just a few times :) and the girls were very excited to show him the animals.

Every where we went Morgan wanted to sit by Uncle Gary..ahhh!

Michaela 8 Months Old

Michaela came to visit us this weekend with her Mommy and Daddy. I wanted to put video of her on our blog for those of you who have not met her yet or if it has just been awhile. She is now 8 months old and has learned how to eat cheerios by herself and wave bye-bye. She loves to hear her own voice as you can tell by the video and she also loves her cousins Maddie and Morgan.

I wanna be a Rock Star!

All of the girls in Madison's class were invited to Chloe's 6th Birthday Party at Lollilocks Salon. Chloe decided on a Pop Star party which included the girls getting their hair done with fabulous colors and their fingernails and toenails painted. They also got to make their own sparkly lotion and lip gloss. They all had such a fun time together being girly. Chloe said she didn't invite the boys in her class because she didn't think they would like getting their hair done. She said "that would be weird!".

Shamrock Dairy Farm

Shamrock Dairy Farm

For Madison's spring break we took the girls to the Shamrock Dairy Farm. We had such a great time and the girls loved being able to see the cows up close and how a Dairy Farm actually works. They even took us on a tour around the farm and the girls were able to feed the baby calfs. I think the best part was at the end of the tour when we were able to get Shamrock Shakes and icecream..yummy!! Double click on the picture to see the whole album. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Morgan turns 4!!

I can hardly believe it...she's 4!! We celebrated last weekend when Grandma Rita was here from Texas by going out to dinner at Famous Dave's. For their special birthday treat they bring out ice cream with this huge sparkler on it. As you can see Morgan is not too sure about it. As it continues to burn she tries to blow it out thinking it is like a birthday candle. It was so cute and funny! She finally decided it was okay as you can see by her smile and soon after it burned out.

We had her birthday party the following Friday which was her actual birth day. All of her family from the Shetter side were able to come. Even her Uncle and Aunt from Washington were here. Her favorite present was a guitar from Grandpa and Grandma Shetter. Uncle Tim tuned it for her and showed her how to hold it. The next morning she woke up and went straight for her guitar and said "Mom, I am going to practice all day!"

Tooth Fairy

Well Madison lost her 1st baby tooth! We were thinking we might have to take her to the dentist because her permanent tooth was coming in behind it. I finally had to resort to telling her that the dentist would have to put a shot in it to get it out and that seemed to convince her that maybe letting mom do it might be the better choice. So after getting her stuffed animal "puppy" which she has had since she was born, she clung to it tightly and within about 5 seconds I had it out. There was some crying involved afterward however I believe that was just from being scared that it was going to hurt and not that it actually did. It was so loose it was flapping in the wind. We were able to get some video after the event so we hope you enjoy. I might also mention that it is hard to tell from the video but Madison was actually very excited the morning after the tooth fairy came.
